In 2012, the same year as my 10th year Macbook, I bought a 42-inch Toshiba LCD TV REGZA. When I worked and had enough income and savings, I was nominated as a large-sized TV with good image quality when I made a new TV. I chose it because most of my colleagues at work bought REGZA and had a good reputation for depiction of images such as animation and games. When I bought a TV, it was completely in the era of terrestrial digital broadcasting, and I thought that the image quality and reception stability were orders of magnitude higher than in the analog era and the era of CRT TVs. In addition, I didn’t watch much terrestrial broadcasting because it became a viewing style of connecting with PS3 or contracting with SKY PerfecTV to watch programs that suit my taste on multiple channels.
After moving to the area where the TV Tokyo network was also shown, I signed a contract with JCOM, an Internet provider, to watch and record programs in a style different from that of the SKY PerfecTV era. Gradually, it became financially difficult, I moved away from entertainment and hobbies, and I had less chance to watch TV, but recently I bought Amazon’s Fire Stick, so I watched Youtube on TV and was powerless. I thought that there were still many things I could do with this TV by connecting the audio part to the amplifier and speakers of the component stereo and upgrading it. Furthermore, in order to make the most of the appeal of flat-screen TVs, I bought a TV stand to bring it closer to the wall, and I think it looked different from when it was on the TV stand.
At first, I felt like I should be able to use it normally, but as I used it on both TVs and PCs, I became more attached to it, and there are still things I can do, and I have left behind. I’m still using it in active duty because I don’t think it’s easy to buy a new one.
